Employee of the Year Award Ceremony
Please join us for the O-L FEA Employee of the Year Award Ceremony VIRTUALLY on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event is FREE and open to family, friends, and others in your organization. Please RSVP by Thursday, May 5. This event is our opportunity to recognize exemplary job performance, community contributions, heroic actions, and leadership within the federal government by federal civilian and military employees (active, reserve and guard) in the Omaha-Lincoln area. We will be honoring Federal Employees and Teams who have been nominated across seven categories as Federal Employees of the Year. Each nominee will be recognized with a certificate and the overall winner in each category will receive a special trophy. Nominations Nominees must be full-time civilian employees of the federal government or active-duty, reserve, and national guard - military personnel assigned to the Nebraska and Western Iowa areas. Nominations should highlight the specific accomplishments of the nominees during calendar year 2021 (January – December 2021). Information from outside the nomination period with not be used to determine a winner. Nominations will be accepted from each agency or installation for one or more of the categories indicated below. Employees should be nominated for only one category per year, with the exception of the Team Category. Required Documents: (1) Cover Sheet; the agency, unit, or installation head (or designated representative) must sign this form. (2) Brief Biographical data, including a synopsis of Federal Service (limited to 1 page). (3) Nomination (limited to 2 pages of narrative). Address the supporting category criteria, emphasizing achievements during calendar year 2021 only. Nominations are recommended to be in the bullet- format, however the paragraph style will be accepted. Nomination information exceeding the two-page limit or from outside the 2021 time will not be considered in determining a category winner. Note: The selection committee may not be familiar with your Agency/Unit's work. Please spell out all acronyms and limit the use of organizational jargon as much as possible. Explain and quantify the impact of the employee's efforts so that others will understand. No classified information should be submitted. Selection Process and Recognition: A committee of O-L FEA members will select the award winners. All nominees will be honored at the virtual May 12 Omaha-Lincoln's Federal Employee Association's, Federal Employee of the Year Award.
